FIRST-TIME MEMBERS AND RENEWALS

We welcome all first-time and returning members to our chapter.  The AGO uses an online resource called ONCARD to process membership.  For first-time members, use the following link: https://www.agohq.org/membership/join-as-a-chapter-member/

For returning members, please go to  https://www.agohq.org/oncard-login/  Please also update your information including whether or not you wish to be on the sub list. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to national and chapter funds.

On the payment screen, you can pay by credit card or print out an invoice to send in with your check. Chapter dues are necessary to help with programming for the coming year.

Membership Benefits

Under the guidance of the Councillor for Education and three national committees, the Guild provides a wealth of educational opportunities for members at all levels of musical expertise and training. Locally, chapters devote much of their activities to programs designed to increase members’ knowledge and skills, Conventions provide numerous educational opportunities, and The American Organist contains in-depth features on historical and musicological topics as well, and materials available through the AGO, with every issue.

The American Organist keeps members up to date with the profession by providing both scholarly and practical features and timely news of the Guild and its members. The Pipeline serves the same function locally, and Positions Available listings in both TAO and The Pipeline keep members aware of employment opportunities.

The A.G.O.’s commitment to improving non-musical aspects of the working life of organists and choral conductors is reflected in its programs and professional concerns: cooperation with national denominational officials to influence policies regarding employment; work with seminaries to broaden the musical education of clergy and the theological education of musicians, and development of publications to assist individual members. Professional Concerns committees provide a support base, as well as practical assistance through local employment compensation guidelines and placement services.

Through the national organization, Guild members are eligible for group term disability income, major medical, in-hospital, cancer, and long-term-care insurance plans, a Guild-sponsored credit card, and discounts on auto rentals.
