Soloists from the St. John the Divine Chorale
Steve Newberry and soloists from the St. John the Divine Chorale present a program of musical depictions of the Psalms. Three Psalm Preludes by Herbert Howells form the framework of the program, which also includes psalm settings by Dvorak, Sowerby, DeLong, and Rorem. Pray and fully experience the words of the Psalmist in dramatic reading, music, meditation, and visual art. A post-concert gathering follows in Sumners Hall.
